What is the Advance Placement (AP) Program?

The AP program gives students the opportunity to participate in a college level course to enrich their education and possibly earn college credit while still in high school. With this program, students are given the opportunity by Colleges and Universities to show mastery of college-level courses through an exam at the end of the school year. In addition, and an extra 0.04 points per credit are added to the weighted version of the student’s GPA.

Just over 25% of the Lehigh Senior High School student body took AP exams last year. In total 452 students took 491 AP exams in a span of 2 weeks.
