Scheduling will allow students to enroll in the
Center for the Arts major or minor track programs.
AICE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Upon entering the Cambridge
program, students sign a
letter of intent that states
specifically the requirements of the LSHS program.
To maintain membership, students must take a minimum of five academic credits each year of high school, including AICE and Pre-AICE level courses as required.
Students must maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0.
Completion of the
AICE curriculum requires students to complete a minimum of six AICE courses and
take the exams for each, with at least one course and exam being from each of the following three subject areas:
A. Math & Science: Biology, Math, Physics, Chemistry
B. Languages: English Language, French Language
C. Arts & Humanities: English Literature, French
Literature, Geography, World History
These six courses and examinations are completed during the junior and senior years. Students who complete the curriculum
and take the exams will be recognized as AICE Program Graduates.
AICE program students are exempt from taking HOPE, Economics and Art. However, if at any time
students are no longer participating in the AICE program, these courses would have to be completed as a requirement for graduation.
AICE DIPLOMA
Students who complete the curriculum and pass the required six exams, will earn the
AICE Diploma.
