GENERAL
*Lehigh Senior High School Center for the Arts educators Ms. Sara Gulnac and Ms. Natalie Lafferty were selected as the 2009 Teachers of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars. Sara Gulnac is a College Board Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment Educator. Natalie Lafferty is an educator with the University of Cambridge (AICE) program.
*Lehigh Senior High School Center for the Arts 10th grade, Guerda Merilien, took first place the he essay division at the Lee county History Fair. Guerda will go on to the state competition in Tallahassee in May. Her paper is titled "Psychoanalysis: An Opening into the Mind" and explores the historical effects of Sigmund Freud's revolutionary ideas about the unconscious mind.

*Congrats to Carlos Mendez for "Doing the Right Thing". He attended the "Do the Right Thing Ceremony" on February 18th, 2010.

*Tia Smart was voted the National Honor Society Secretary for the year 2010-2011. We are very proud and honored to represent our District NHS two years in a row! WAY TO GO TIA!!!!
*Staff Member of the Month for February is Mr. Matt Kaye. Mr. Kaye's picture will be posted on the wall of fame at AppleBees on the corner of Colonial and Six Mile Cypress.
